I was at the gym feeling great.
Confident, strong, focused...doing kettlebell swings and actually showing up for myself. I glanced up at the mirror to check my form.
And that's when I saw it.
Camel toe. Full on. In front of everyone.
I was mortified. Not because of my body but because my underwear had completely let me down in the one moment I felt most powerful. I walked out of that gym thinking: there has to be something better.
There wasn't.
I searched...I tried every brand I could find. Nothing solved the problem...not really. The fabric was wrong, the cut was wrong, or it just shifted the moment you started moving.
So I did what any determined, slightly desperate woman would do.
I made my own insert.
I fashioned a makeshift panel and tucked it into my underwear. It wasn't pretty, but it worked. Problem solved...or so I thought.
Then came Wanda.
Back at the gym, we were warming up...laps around the floor, moving, stretching. My DIY solution was holding up beautifully. I felt good and confident again.
That's when my instructor Wanda stopped mid-lap, bent down, and picked something up off the gym floor.
She held it up, looking around. Didn't want anyone to trip on a hazard.
What she had in her hands had been in my pants a moment ago.
I said nothing. I kept walking. And I thought: this needs to be sewn in.
That was the moment HUX was born.
Not in a boardroom. Not on a whiteboard. On a gym floor in front of Wanda.
I went home and started designing the underwear I actually wanted. A flat-front panel — stitched in permanently — that eliminates camel toe by design. Nylon-spandex fabric that moves with you, holds its shape through squats and swings and everything in between. And bamboo charcoal gusset lining that naturally absorbs moisture and helps reduce odour, because if you're moving that hard, you need underwear that keeps up.
No camel toe, no adjusting, no distractions. AND no Wandas picking things up off the floor.

It's the thing you stop thinking about...so you can think about everything else. It's confidence underneath everything you wear and everywhere you go.
